Coming Soon: How to be Kind to Yourself

Hello and welcome!

It’s been a while since I published new content online. I intend to change that soon. But first, a little background.

What I have been up to
I have continued to coach my clients on living a happier, more fulfilling life in 2022. However, a big part of this year has been about taking some much needed time for my own growth and development. In the past few months, I have done deep inner work on clarifying – and coming to terms with – who I am as an entrepreneur, a writer, and a human being in relationship with other people. The process hasn’t always been easy but definitely worth the effort. I have overcome significant blocks that had been holding me back for years. I have been astonished by the results and am still processing and integrating some of these changes in my life. My journey will continue, of course – it always does. But I have reached an unprecedented level of clarity about the one thing I want to focus on for now: self-compassion.

What is self-compassion?

Self-compassion involves treating yourself with the same kindness you offer a loved one, especially during challenging times. I have known about the extensive research and profound benefits of self-compassion for several years. I have actively written and talked about the topic and have also tried to practice it myself. But before my recent experiences, something was missing. I didn’t yet have a deep, embodied understanding of how transformative self-compassion can be. You know how many of us can KNOW what’s good for us and still find ourselves unable to do those things? It was like that for me when it came to self-compassion. In the past few months, however, that has changed. With the guidance of a coach/mentor, I have really begun to understand what being self-compassionate can do for people. It has been a game changer for me. And so, as I get ready for 2023, I feel extremely energized about deepening my practice of self-compassion and sharing what I learn with my community.

What to expect in 2023

So, that’s what’s coming up in 2023. If you’ve never heard of self-compassion before this and are curious to learn more, I will share more in the coming weeks and months. If you’re already familiar with the idea, I hope to offer guidance that will deepen your understanding and practice of self-compassion.

That’s about it for now. If the idea of being kind to yourself fascinates, attracts, or even irritates you, stay tuned. Practicing self-compassion can actually change your life 🙂

Hope you have a meaningful start to the new year – whatever that looks like for you. For me, it will involve journaling and spending time with my family. See you soon!
